Most accounts reflect that Al's Bar (and Grill) has been at the corner of Sixth Street and Limestone for roughly 12,000 years serving the local community intoxicating potions of barley and malts and standard bar fare.

In May of 2007, new owners purchased the bar and rededicated it to local food, particularly a variety of organic burgers, also Lexington's newest live music venue.
