Description:

Why are 60 people standing in a line that winds like a snake ending at the door of a nightclub?
To experience Larry Redmon.
Who is Larry Redmon?
Larry Redmon is one man and his guitar. A solo act.
Now that you've envisioned some guy sitting on a stool, gently strumming his acoustic guitar, singing James Taylor songs & spouting profundities between tunes while the audience sits quietly, sipping wine...
Blast that thought from your mind.
Like a shot of hot whiskey and a cold draft beer slammed down, Larry Redmon storms the stage. He sounds like 3 or 4 musicians are performing with him. His acoustic guitar sounds like a Very Big acoustic guitar, one of the best live sounds you will ever hear. His strong, unorthodox guitar style is very rhythmic. Like drums and guitar. And he sings with a rich, experienced baritone whose depth and expression alone tells a story.

And its delivered with Edge. Lots of Edge.

If you are lucky or persistent enough (or arrived early enough) to enter the door of 269 West Main Street before his show ends at 1 A.M., you'll be joining the hundreds of long-time and first-time Larry Redmon fans shoulder to shoulder listening raptly or raucously singing along as Larry Redmon
takes you on an exhilarating and soulful journey through the Southland. The real Southland. The Southland of Larry Redmons life.

Yes, Larry Redmon is one man and his guitar. A solo act. But wherever he performs as though he is not alone.

So what kind of music does Larry Redmon perform?

All of the troops in the Redmon camp have opted for Americana to describe Larrys kind of music, in particular the kind of music he writes. But the best definition of Larry Redmon is found on the CD album REDMON Larrys self titled release on the Dixiewind label.

Its been almost 12 years since I have had the pleasure of seeing Larry play live but I still have his CD that I throw in the to listen to and remind me of the good times of watching him play before I moved out of town. I would hope tht he has only gotten better over the years and would highly suggest that anyone that gets a chance go watch him play and enjoy the experience!!!! Jason Hartley
